Lindsay Lohan took a break from filming Sky TV’s hit comedy, Sick Note, to make a surprise appearance at the official launch of One Family at the inaugural Iftar at The Savoy. Lohan, who took to the stage to donate an on-the-set experience, expressed her excitement about the charity. “One Family is bringing change to the world and I’m delighted to be a part of it.”

At the launch, Sharif Banna MBE, Chairman of One Family, outlined the organisation’s commitment to using pioneering technology to address issues on a global scale. “Our work is about global social enterprise,” he said. “We will inspire our vast network to translate their social media engagement into powerful social action.”

One Family brings fans and followers, celebrity ambassadors, and high-profile personalities together on digital and social platforms, and empowers them to bring about meaningful change in the world. Guests enjoyed music from Maher Zain, the multi-platinum selling singer-songwriter, who is also an Ambassador of One Family. He performed “Let Them Know,” a moving song about the need to speak up about human trafficking, written especially for the event.

Presented by BBC and BT Sport broadcaster Reshmin Chowdhury, the event was also supported by the attendance of Two-time World Champion, Amir Khan, and chart-topping music producer, Naughty Boy.
