Alongside them, World Champion Snooker maestro Ronnie O’Sullivan joined his partner Laila Rouass, who gave a passionate account of her recent visit to Lesvos and serves as Ambassador of One Family’s Refugee Fund.

Hosted in partnership with Hemraj Goyal Foundation and Eighteen Pakistan, guests flying in from over 26 countries enjoyed also enjoyed breath-taking live music performed in celebration of Syrian culture and heritage by Oud player Rihab Azar, and a live comedy by Paul Chowdhry, fresh from his record-breaking world tour.

The highlight of the evening came when 7-year-old Mohammed thanked supporters of the Refugee Fund via a live video link and became an instant hit! Mohammed was made an amputee during the Syrian war, and thanks to previous year’s event, received a prosthetic limb via One Family Refugee Fund Partner NSPPL.
