One Family is thrilled to announce its newest ambassador: double Michelin-starred chef, author and Indian fine-dining master, Atul Kochhar.

Chef Kochhar trained in India, leaving his role at The Oberoi Hotel Group in 1994, to move to the UK. He has since been at the forefront of the culinary industry for over 25 years, becoming the first chef to earn a Michelin star for Indian cuisine. Taking inspiration from his native India, Chef Kochhar has continued to invest in researching regional dishes, publishing six books, including ‘Atul’s Curries of the World’.

Chef Kochhar made his One Family ambassadorship debut at the charity’s exclusive launch of its Investors’ Circle, which aims to bring together its closest network of supporters for a series
of private events and opportunities throughout the year. Members of the Investors’ Circle receive exclusive to the charity’s exclusive roster of event experiences, alongside opportunities to visit its programmes in Nepal and Turkey.

Chef Kochhar cooked up a storm at his Mathura restaurant in Central London on the night to provide guests with a masterful culinary experience. He commented: “It was an honour to host One Family’s Investors’ Circle and merge my two greatest passions: food and philanthropy”.

Aamir Aka, Chair of One Family’s Investors’ Circle and CEO of Adiva Investments commented: “I was elated to be in the company of such like-minded people, driven and motivated to affect lasting and positive change in the world through One Family’s work”.

One Family Chairman, Sharif Banna MBE, said: “Charity is so much more than raising funds for a cause: its essence, we believe, lies at the heart of the intention. We recognise that intention in everything Chef Kochhar has worked so hard to achieve, and are overjoyed to be welcoming him to One Family”.
